What is Microneedling, and how does it work?
Microneedling is also called Collagen Induction Therapy. It's the same treatment.
A sterile pen with very fine needles makes thousands of tiny, controlled channels in the skin after a numbing cream has been applied.
Your skin sees these as tiny injuries and repairs them by making fresh collagen and elastin, the proteins that keep skin smooth and firm. The channels also let serums soak in much deeper.
Over a course of usually 3 sessions, 4 to 6 weeks apart, it softens fine lines, acne scars, enlarged pores and uneven texture. Expect 1 to 3 days of pinkness, like mild sunburn.

A sterile needle cartridge creates small controlled punctures. Treatment depth and products follow the device instructions and practitioner training.

The healing response stimulates collagen formation. This is the basis for using microneedling for selected scars and fine lines.

Change develops over weeks, with fuller results taking several months. Outcomes vary with scar type and the treatment plan.

Duration & frequency
75 minutes, including numbing time. Courses involve spaced sessions. We assess healing between visits and set the interval using the device protocol, rather than prescribing one schedule for everyone.

Combining treatments
A tone peel may be used at a separate appointment, at least 2 weeks apart. Dermaplaning, peeling and needling are never done together on the same day. Each session finishes with LED light and a calming mask chosen for your skin, at no extra cost.

You receive written aftercare for your specific treatment and product at the appointment, and a review is arranged where it is part of your plan.
